Our integrated healthcare program includes regular health checks by our school nurse, Celena Godinez who is one of the first graduates from the EFTC Further Education Program. The healthcare department has previously identified cases of malnutrition, domestic abuse, drug use and eating disorders and is vital to ensuring our students are safe, happy and healthy.
Celena works closely with our social support team on the Preventative Health Program including workshops on sexual health, violent behavior and personal hygiene for both students and their families.
We are currently supplying all of our families with monthly essential medicines, hygiene items and Covid-19 information leaflets. This includes life-saving medicines and medical referrals for 15 chronic long-term medical cases managed by the department.
